Nothing takes up more garage storage space than a few bikes and a variety of garden tools. There are some really clever hooks and hangers available that can make this storage problem vanish. If you are hanging a rack to get your rakes and spades in order, one tip would be to hang the storage rack as high as possible. This will free up the space below the tool rack for other items such as a lawn mower or a low storage cabinet. Always be thinking space management.
If you are hanging a bicycle it is important to decide if it is for short term storage or if it is going to be idle for a longer period of time. Inexpensive ceiling hooks (where it looks like the bike is riding across the ceiling of your garage) while cheap can be a bad storage solution if it is used often.
